Beta use and safety
AETHER beta builds are supplied for evaluation. Features, compatibility and stored settings may change before release.
Protect your hearing and equipment
Begin at low volume after changing outputs, drivers, Exclusive mode, plugins, convolution, EQ or gain. Stop playback immediately if you hear noise, clipping, instability or an unexpected level change.
Back up settings and playlists
Keep a backup of important playlists, presets and exported profiles. Pre-release migrations may fail and beta data should not be your only copy.
Compatibility
WASAPI, ASIO, DSD/DoP and VST3 behavior depends on the connected device, driver and plugin. Listed support does not guarantee compatibility with every product.
Measurement limits
On-screen measurements and exported reports describe the software’s observed signal state. They are not independent certification and must not be used as the sole basis for safety-critical or regulated decisions.
Authenticode and SmartScreen
The current Beta installer is not yet Authenticode signed. Windows may display an unknown-publisher or SmartScreen warning. This status is disclosed before download and at first launch. Download only from the official AETHER page and verify the published SHA-256 checksum.
Distribution
Download only the complete package from the official AETHER site. Verify its published SHA-256 checksum. Do not detach the executable from its resources folder.
